Qualia is a robotic painting system currently installed at Dataland, the world's first museum of AI arts by Refik Anadol Studio. As visitors move through the museum, biometric wristbands capture their body's emotional response to the work around them. This data is translated into a physical form by the robot, memorializing the visitor's experience.

Drawing on those biometric patterns, the Large Nature Model generates a piece of nature imagery. An industrial-grade KUKA arm then builds the painting stroke by stroke over the course of a day, mixing new paint colors and changing tools as it progresses. Although the system delivers precise brush strokes by design, the chaos of the paint creates unpredictable blending and dripping effects that leave a unique robotic fingerprint on the work.
